David Moyes Hints at West Ham Summer Exit

David Moyes will be hoping he can turn this form around for the home side on Thursday evening, as he gets his first chance to overturn United's Mourinho as West Ham manager. Others have given him their full backing after recognising the mammoth job he had on his hands.

"I am not critical of the performance at all". In United's first game since legendary former manager Alex Ferguson had to have emergency surgery on a brain haemorrhage, the visiting fans showed their support to the 76-year-old Scot with persist chants of "we all love Alex Ferguson".

"I had no view of the incident at the end [between Pogba and Noble], it was all good". They don't win anything, because they did the job last match at Leicester but they play to win and the changes David [Moyes] made was to try that. Now we have the objective to finish with more than 80 points.

The 29-year-old, who has featured in 33 games for the club this season, has ten goals and seven assists to his name for the Hammers since arriving for Stoke City last summer. "For many months you are always asking me why this player doesn't play, why that player doesn't play, why this player is on the bench, why always Lukaku?" We will see what happens'.

"I wouldn't want to run round waving to supporters because we've avoided relegation". It's good to have up our sleeve. We wanted to win and we want to move up the league if we can, but it's a good extra point.

Luke Shaw, in search of his first goal for United, came within inches of breaking the deadlock, but his fierce half-volley was tipped on to the post by a scrambling Adrian's boot as the sides went into the dressing rooms deadlocked. Adrian produced a brilliant double save to keep out efforts from Alexis Sanchez and Shaw before pushing away a long-range Sanchez strike on the stroke of half-time.

Pogba headed wide as the second half wore on without any real drama, Moyes turning to Andy Carroll with 25 minutes remaining after the pair buried the hatchet following a falling out after the defeat to Manchester City.

With 2017-18 one to forget for both clubs, attention on the terraces, though, has already turned to the next step.
