'Fortnite' Players Are Editing Dancing Thanos Into Marvel Movie Scenes

Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War released last week and they've teamed up with Epic Games to introduce a new limited time mode to the game, featuring the Mad Titan Thanos. On the sandbox game, Fortnite of course.

Today, Epic Games announced on the official Fortnite Battle Royale subreddit that it would be making changes to Thanos in the Infinity Gauntlet limited timed mode in order to "allow more folks to truly experience the power of Thanos, while also making you feel powerful when wielding the gauntlet".

This week Epic Games launched a brand new limited time mash up for Fortnite which brings The Avengers: Infinity War antagonist, Thanos, into the game... and nearly immediately nerfs the chap.

Although I do not play Fortnite, I have learned one thing recently about video games.

Those being Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who stated that between editing sessions, they would smash out a game here or there. The same Infinity Gauntlet with all six Infinity Stones equipped that Thanos possesses in the movie. "So we stalked Donald [Mustard]", Joe Russo told Entertainment Weekly.

The new mode went live yesterday in a Fortnite / Avengers: Infinity War crossover. "About an hour later, we had the bones of this awesome idea for a limited time gameplay mode, and nearly immediately our team got started", Mustard recalled. As first noticed by Polygon, one cut Fortnite's Thanos into Star-Lord's dance battle with Ronan the Accuser in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Just when you think Fortnite can't get any bigger, it does.
