Trump's New Adviser? Kim Kardashian Visits White House

According to a report from Vanity Fair, West and her personal attorney will visit the White House on Wednesday before 4 p.m.to meet with Senior Advisor Jared Kushner and then with President Donald Trump to discuss prison reform.

Vanity Fair reports Kim Kardashian West will be at the White House on Wednesday to seek a pardon for a 62-year-old grandmother now serving a life sentence in prison for a nonviolent, first-time drug offense.

Kim Kardashian arrives at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala (Met Gala) to celebrate the opening of "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination" in the Manhattan borough of NY, U.S., May 7, 2018.

Kardashian's husband, rapper Kanye West, has been a strong Trump supporter since the 2016 election, and recently boasted a signed "Make America Great Again" hat. The reality TV star has tweeted about Alice Johnson several times, including sharing a petition on Twitter last week seeking clemency for the woman who's been behind bars 21 years.

Kardashian hopes to press for the pardon of Alice Johnson, a 62-year-old great-grandmother, according to Vanity Fair.

Donald Trump, left, and Kim Kardashian arrive for the Perfumania party celebrating the appearance of Kardashian on the reality show "The Apprentice", Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, in NY. "Kim has been my war angel, and I'll never forget what she is doing for me". Johnson, as Kardashian has previously discussed on social media, is now serving a life sentence without parole for a firs-time, nonviolent drug offense.

Johnson also praised Kushner and Ivanka Trump, and said she supports their efforts in a criminal justice reform bill.

"I've been in communication with the White House and trying to bring her case to the president's desk and figure out how we can get her out", said Kardashian.

"I've been fighting very hard and am willing to do what it takes to fight for what's right", Kardashian West told Mic in advance of the meeting. "So, there's nothing I even want to hear in regards to [Trump]". West is not expected to attend today's events, however.
