John Goodman Reacts To 'Roseanne' Cancellation

The president's message to Iger on Wednesday read: "Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that "ABC does not tolerate comments like those" made by Roseanne Barr".

Roseanne Barr has forgiven her TV kids for turning on her amid the drama surrounding a racist tweet she posted on Tuesday. "I begged like 40 motherf--s", she later wrote.

Earlier this week, Sherwood sent out an email to ABC staff sympathizing with those who "poured their hearts and lives into the show" and would now be out of work.

News of Roseanne's cancellation came from Dungey, who said in a statement, "Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have made a decision to cancel her show".

Like many good husbands, John Goodman knows when not to air his wife's dirty laundry in public. "I think that we have a lot bigger things going on in the country right now". I'd worked doing publicity4 them 4free for weeks, traveling, thru bronchitis. "I'm so sick over this-they will never have better character actors on their network", she wrote.

After Roseanne was canceled, Barr seemed remorseful, telling her fans, "don't defend me, it's sweet of you 2 try, but.losing my show is 0 compared 2 being labelled a racist over one tweet-that I regret even more".

On Wednesday, Barr blamed the sleep drug for the Twitter meltdown that led to her show reboot to be canceled by ABC.

Barr continued in another Tweet: "He said: what were you thinking when you did this?" He scoffed & said: 'what u have done is egregious, and unforgivable.' I begged 4 my crews jobs.

Barr apologized for the incident and said she would leave twitter, but returned Tuesday night with a series of tweets attacking co-stars Sara Gilbert and Michael Fishman. Will I ever recover from this pain? "I tweeted a lot to watch out because I could see it coming".

Barr, a prominent supporter of President Trump, retweeted an image questioning why some people thinkit's OK to ridicule him as an ape, but not Jarrett. The only one left said she was signing off Twitter for a while and she was offering "everyone involved one more apology and prayers".
