Killer Odyssey: Sneak Peek at New Assassin's Creed Game

Ubisoft officially revealed the next game in the Assassin's Creed series in a tweet Thursday after an early leak revealed its name and logo ahead of E3.

The five-second teaser shows a Greek warrior kicking an enemy off a cliff, reminiscent of the iconic scene in the film 300. If today's reports are true, the next installment of Ubisoft's popular action adventure game is called Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and it will indeed take place in the land that birthed Western civilization.

This development has caused numerous game's fans to rejoice.

What impact the aforementioned (and still only rumoured) dialogue choices will have on the overarching narrative in Assassin's Creed Odyssey is now unknown, but we can expect to learn a whole lot more during Ubisoft's E3 presser in Los Angeles on Monday 11th June.

One of my favorite parts of Assassin's Creed: Origins was exploring the city of Alexandria.

The Assassin's Creed franchise famously took a year off in 2015 after the one-two punch of Assassin's Creed Syndicate and Assassin's Creed Unity, the latter of which suffered from poor reviews. Two sources told Schreier that Odyssey will launch during Ubisoft's 2019 fiscal year.

It's the follow-up to Assassin's Creed Origins, which in itself was a soft reboot for the series after fans had grown exhausted of annual releases and repetitive mechanics.

A few days ago, an anonymous 4Chan user posted a big list of details about the game, also calling it Assassin's Creed Odyssey. A holiday release would not be surprising.

We'll get some idea of what, and how new, Odyssey is - and when it'll be launching - at this year's E3 expo this month.
