LeBron James cautious about going to Lakers as lone free agent

Since losing Game 7, Chris Paul has reportedly been recruiting LeBron to Houston, to the point of disregarding his own free agency decision to make things happen according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

"They obviously are a flashy franchise, they like to play fast", Wagner said.

And while he knows a few of the Lakers - he and Josh Hart share the same agent, so they've hung out a few times - he's most excited to make new relationships the way he did when he first arrived at U-M. Upon transfer to Lawrence, he sat out one year before emerging as one of the best offensive weapons for Bill Self's team.

Much like his Kansas teammate Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk who was the Lakers' final draft pick, as well as their first round pick Moritz Wagner, Newman is a great shooter, hitting 41.5 percent from 3-point range previous year.

Pelinka, team president Magic Johnson, and head coach Luke Walton, all of whom assumed their current roles with the franchise within the past two years, have a vision for the franchise. He averaged 14.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists last season for Kansas while also shooting 46.3 percent from the field and 39.9 percent from downtown.

"Growing up, I was a huge National Basketball Association fan. It's a dream very, very far away when you're over there, and it's exciting to be here now".

"If you have success in any walk of life, you're going to face that", Pelinka said.

He was the second Kansas Jayhawk drafted Thursday night. "I am going to love it and leave it all out there [for the Lakers]".

"Both of (them) were elbowing Earvin and I that this guy would be fun to play with", Pelinka said.
