Jack Wilshere completes move to West Ham United after Arsenal release

West Ham United have announced the signing of former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere on a three-year deal.

"I hope that, next week, or before we finish July, the fans of West Ham will have good news", he told the club's official website .

Wilshere's career has been hobbled by injuries and he was willing to take a pay cut to stay at a club he had been with for 17 years but Wenger's departure left his fate in Emery's hands.

"The 34-cap England global put pen-to-paper with the Hammers on Monday and will fly out to Switzerland to link up with Manuel Pellegrini's squad at their pre-season training camp in Bad Ragaz".

He said, "It feels good, it feels special".

"They called me not every day but a lot of times telling me to come here", he said.

West Ham United will reportedly listen to offers of more than £15m for Michail Antonio, while two other midfielders may also be offloaded. "The manager [convinced me],..."

"I want to be playing here in front of the Hammers, and my bond I've had with the club over my childhood will make it even more special".

Do you think Wilshere made the right decision to join West Ham?

West Ham are trying to secure deals for new players as per the instructions of latest managerial appointment Manuel Pellegrini, who is thought to be interested in overhauling the current squad as much as possible in this transfer window.

The 26-year-old midfielder, who has won 34 caps for England, becomes Manuel Pellegrini's fourth summer signing following the arrivals of Issa Diop, Ryan Fredericks and Lukasz Fabianski.

They are also close to completing the £17m transfer of Ukraine forward Andriy Yarmolenko from Borussia Dortmund.
