Jurgen Klopp told Thibaut Courtois still better than new Liverpool FC signing

Alisson is set to make his Liverpool debut today against Napoli and the club has confirmed that the goalkeeper will provisionally wear the no.13 against the Calcio A outfit.

But he also seems to breed a confidence amongst his teammates, and fans, that just wasn't there under either 'keeper, particularly Karius.

While it is yet to be seen how serious the injury is, it will come as a blow to Jurgen Klopp's men as they continue their preparations for the new season.

Liverpool play their final pre-season friendly against Italians Torino on August 7, five days before hosting West Ham United in their Premier League opener.

Milner then set-up Liverpool's second with a cross which was headed home by Georginio Wijnaldum.

Karnezis got down well to deny Sturridge after he'd broken clear and shot low across the Napoli goalkeeper, and the substitute striker then went close with a classy dink after being fed by Curtis Jones.

Liverpool fans are loving the centre-back's gesture.

Keita, another expensive new signing, looks tailor-made for Klopp's team and for the Premier League.

Liverpool's style is fatiguing and Salah and Firmino both played more than 50 matches last season and have been at the World Cup this summer.

Liverpool look ready for the start of the season.

And Virgil Van Dijk made sure to show his appreciation to Alisson for starting off the move. Xherdan Shaqiri replaced Firmino at half-time and played nearly as a false-nine, dropping deep and looking to pick out the runs of Salah and Firmino.

The Brazilian, a £67 million signing from Roma, played a stunning pass to Mohamed Salah that resulted in James Milner opening the scoring against Napoli.

Karius, who followed up his nightmare display in the Champions League final against Real Madrid with a series of errors in pre-season this summer, has now admitted that his future is up in the air following Alisson's arrival.

"For my club, I just want to take the next step now".
