David De Gea reacts to Man United’s 1-0 win at Tottenham

United now had a lead to protect as Tottenham pushed for an equaliser in the second half and the hosts created a hat-full of chances, however, they failed to get past the in-form De Gea between the United sticks.

The performance was so sensational, that social media has erupted in common praise for the Spanish International, and #DavesSaves has become somewhat of a trend on Twitter.

"I am enjoying playing my football now,"...

"It was Tottenham against Manchester United", he told his post-match news conference.

Pochettino's side looked re-energised at the start of the second half, with De Gea making crucial saves from Kane and Dele Alli within five minutes of the restart.

"It was fantastic and I think De Gea made 11 saves, which is unbelievable".

What does it mean?

"It wasn't the intention of the United player but it was a bad tackle and now he has bit of a swelling on his ankle and he was limping after the game", he said. For Spurs, however, it was another blow to their title hopes. They may still be six points behind Chelsea, who beat Newcastle United 2-1 yesterday, but United have closed the gap to Spurs to seven points and it has forced the bookmakers to slash United's odds for a top-four finish.

It can be argued that, although he was impressive, none of the saves De Gea had to make on Sunday were particularly hard.

Tottenham also lost midfield powerhouse Moussa Sissoko to a groin injury before halftime, adding to their woes. Everything comes when you are more free, have the trust of the manager and the players, it makes it easy for me.

- Man Utd's Marcus Rashford has scored in three consecutive Premier League games for the first time in his career. He is following the game, moving all the time.

- Paul Pogba has been directly involved in 53% of Man Utd's 15 Premier League goals since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge (4 goals, 4 assists).

Mauricio Pochettino has said that the injury suffered by Harry Kane in today's defeat to Manchester United is a "worry" for him.
