Inter Director Confirms Ivan Perisic Transfer Request as Arsenal Consider Approach

"Arsenal have made it clear they can only deal in loans this transfer window".

The Arsenal boss has previously stated his preference for loan deals in January for players who can improve his squad.

Arsenal are reportedly deemed to have agreed personal terms with Ivan Perisic, although they remain unclear whether they can pursue him from Inter Milan before the transfer deadline.

"If we can bring another player and all of the players want to play, we will have a problem in the future". 'But the club say to me in the summer it is going to be different and we are going to have chances to spend money'. We have enough players.

"I have had experience with different teams, teams like Sevilla and Valencia, where usually we sold players each season", he said.

'The easiest thing for me is to ask for more players but I love to work with my players, ' he said.

Arsenal are short in defence after injuries to Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, and Laurent Koscielny.

Arsenal's Greece defender Sokratis will be sidelined until the end of February with an ankle injury suffered in Friday's FA Cup defeat by Manchester United.

Koscielny, 33, suffered bruising and soft tissue swelling to his face and jaw and was "being reviewed on a daily basis".

The Frenchman could be back for Sunday's trip to holders Manchester City.

Cagliari have already slapped a £43m asking price on the young midfielder amidst interest from both the Premier League and the Italian Serie A.

After starting the season superbly under Unai Emery, Arsenal's form suffered in the recent weeks and they won just two of their last five Premier League games.

"Only we're having a lot of injuries and a lot in this position".
