James Harden claims career-high 61 points as Rockets blast Knicks

As the Knicks were playing the Rockets close in the fourth quarter at Madison Square Garden Wednesday night, Enes Kanter sat on the bench alone, away from an ongoing huddle during a timeout.

Harden got a late assist from Knicks coach David Fizdale, who picked up a technical foul for arguing with an official and was ejected with 1:08 remaining and the Rockets leading 105-101.

"I want to play basketball". "If you want to play me here, play me. Kevin Durant just completely changed everything when he went there and made it not fair for the league". "If not, just get me out of here".

"I think what they're doing to me is pretty messed up because they just told me this morning that I'm starting", Kanter said. After the game, Kanter sounded off and was clearly frustrated about the decision, especially since he didn't get to play all game.

Reigning MVP James Harden has been on an absolute tear scoring the basketball as he's carried the Houston Rockets amid injuries to Chris Paul and Clint Capela.

"I'm really, really proud of our kids, " said Fizdale, whose club is on a 2-20 slide.

"They couldn't figure out what they wanted to do", he said with a laugh.

Elsewhere, there were wins for the Charlotte Hornets who saw off the Memphis Grizzlies 118-107, Blake Griffin claimed 37 points for the Detroit Pistons who beat the New Orleans Pelicans 98-94 and the Utah Jazz saw off the Denver Nuggets 114-108. Noah Vonleh also showed up with a solid night. Trier became the first Knicks rookie to post a 30-and-10 game since Patrick Ewing.

While the Knicks assembled, Kanter never left his seat. It began with the Turkish center getting reprimanded publicly by the Turkish government, to Kanter's offseason social media escapades trying to figure out if he will opt in or out of his contract with NY.

When Coach Fizdale was asked if he was concerned about Kanter as a distraction and he joked, "What are we going to do, lose more games?"
