Singer Chris Brown Arrested, Charged with Rape in Paris

Brown and two others, who were not identified, were arrested Tuesday in Paris on allegations of aggravated rape and drug violations, a French judicial source told CNN.

Brown's alleged victim claims that she met him and his entourage overnight on January 15-16 at the club Le Crystal and says that they all went to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel together, the official told the Associated Press.

He accompanied it with the caption: "I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR.THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP!"

The alleged victim of Chris Brown said the singer sexually assaulted her in a dressing room for about a half an hour, describing it as "brutal and violent", it was reported.

He continued: "For my daughter and my family this is so disrespectful and is against my character and morals!"

Most notably, he pled guilty in 2009 to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna, for which he served six years of probation.

Karima says she was also assaulted by one of Brown's friends and his bodyguard, both of who were arrested along with Brown.

Chris Brown has been arrested after news broke of a rape allegation brought against him in Paris.

As PEOPLE reported at the time, police said Brown allegedly "sucker punched" a 29-year-old club photographer in Tampa during a paid appearance at AJA Channelside around 1 a.m. local time on April 17.

Cops, however, questioned Brown about the incident - along with two others - and released them Tuesday without charges, according to Paris officials.

Chris Brown last week in Paris. While Karima acknowledged that she returned to the hotel at her own will she said she was exhausted but they convinced her to go back to the Mandarin with a group of people. She claims the two returned to the hotel, with Chris' crew in tow, around 4 a.m.

The Mandarin Oriental would not comment on the investigation, and Le Crystal could not immediately be reached.

Police were notified the following Monday, January 21, and Brown, his bodyguard and another man were arrested.
