This month will mark the band's debut appearance at the awards, in a dream come true for member Suga, who told Jimmy Fallon past year that a goal left on his bucket-list was to "go to the Grammys".

The K-pop stars are nominated in the best recording package category for their album Love Yourself: Tear, which was released in May a year ago.

Their 2018 album Love Yourself: Tear is recognised in the category of best recording package (artwork) category. Their time on stage as presenters is further recognition for the global superstars.

BTS receive an award at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards in May.

Newsround has contacted BTS management and the Grammys to confirm the news.

Last year, they became the first K-pop album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with Love Yourself: Tear.

BTS, which has seen vast global success in recent years, charmed tens of thousands of Singapore fans last month during their sold-out show at the National Stadium.

As soon as BTS's attendance on Grammys has been reported, the hashtag "BTXxGRAMMYS" began to trending worldwide.

As for the nominees, Kendrick Lamar is leading the pack with eight nominations (seven of which are for music from the movie Black Panther).

The 2019 Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and the show will air on February 10 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.

Fans will definitely enjoy this year's Grammy Awards with the performance of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, Diana Ross, Cardi B, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, and Ricky Martin, per Globalnews.
