Edinson Cavani injured ahead of clash with Manchester United

With Edinson Cavani picking up an injury against Bordeaux, the FC panel examine how PSG would line up if he's ruled out against Manchester United.

Striker Edinson Cavani limped off as Paris Saint-Germain sustained another apparent injury blow on Saturday ahead of its trip to play Manchester United in the Champions League. "We don't have another Edi like we don't have another Neymar", said PSG coach Thomas Tuchel.

PSG faces United in the return leg of their last-16 match on March 6, with some French media reporting Cavani will be out for one month.

PSG are already without Neymar, who was ruled out with a foot injury, leaving the French side with only Kylian Mbappe as a world-class striking option.

'We gave them the first 10 minutes, maybe played into their hands. Yes, it is worrying.

When questioned about Cavani's chances of playing at Old Trafford, Tuchel replied: "A little hope, very small, but yes, we still have hope". We must wait. I didn't see him or talk to the doctor. My feeling is that it will be very hard for him to play, ' said manager Thomas Tuchel after the tie.

Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler are, of course, big threats as well, but Mbappe acting as the creative force in attack is certainly better for United than him using his pace to get in behind.

"But, if two or three key players are not here, it's our duty to find solutions".

The was some good news for PSG as midfielder Marco Verratti returned to the line-up after recovering from an ankle injury.

"Marco Verratti wants to play but he only played 60 minutes once", he said. Not everyone can play at that level in the Champions League.

Meanwhile United have a more or less fully fit squad at the moment with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer even resting some key players during their win over Fulham.
