Haas launches new look for 2019 Formula One season

It's also the first time the public has had a chance to see the new aerodynamic changes of the upcoming F1 season, with simpler, yet bigger, front and rear wings the predominate change for 2019. The American outfit brings back the black and gold colour scheme that reflects its new title sponsor.

Rich Energy's CEO Williams Storey added: "I'm naturally delighted to finally see the Rich Energy colours and stag logo in Formula 1 with Haas F1 Team".

The team revealed its new colour scheme yesterday having attracted title sponsorship from Rich Energy, whose brand colours are black and gold.

The new livery replaces the grey and red colours of Haas owner Gene Haas's company which branded the auto previously.

The Lotus comparisons may have been swift and justified, but nothing can deny the sheer beauty that Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen will be sporting this calendar year, in just the team's fourth F1 season. Our partnership with Rich Energy is another positive example of moving forward as an organisation.

"That's the frustrating thing about Formula 1: you can never just go into the season and say "I want to be the best this year".

Team principal Gunther Steiner said: "I am pretty confident we have a pretty solid auto".

Haas became the first Formula 1 squad to show fans what their 2019 auto would look like when they unveiled a series of digital renderings of their VF-19 on February 7, alongside an in-the-flesh launch in London of their new black and gold livery. Partnering with the team has already significantly raised the profile of our brand, this livery unveil will again elevate us to another level.

Drivers Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen were present at the unveiling of the 2019 VF-19 auto and its new sponsor, pulling off the covers at the Royal Automobile Club on Thursday.

"We've found the flawless partner in Haas who I believe are the best-run team on the grid, and we've got an very bad lot in common as organizations". The team though did make considerable progress last season finishing fifth in the overall rankings.

Haas entered the sport in 2016 and have yet to score a podium finish. The 2019 F1 season starts on March 14, 2019, in Australia.
