'LeBron Is the Lakers' Biggest Problem': Stephen A

But there's a wrinkle to the next few seasons that's looming, and it might make Grizzlies die-hards root harder for a rebuilding roster to win more, like they did on Monday night against LeBron James's Los Angeles Lakers.

A disgruntled LeBron James says if any of his Lakers teammates are distracted by a push for the playoffs, then they should ask to leave the team.

When the context of the question was released, people realized James wasn't calling out his youngsters for being bothered by the trade rumors.

The Lakers' playoff drought has lasted since the 2012-2013 season when the team, led by Kobe Bryant, scratched and clawed into 8th seed, only to be swept by the San Antonio Spurs.

"I can not do this, '" James said following a 110-105 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.

James was steaming after Los Angeles fell on the road 128-115 Saturday night to the listless New Orleans Pelicans. And I love the positive mindset that we have, even with the struggle that we've had the last 10 games. "Right now, the word that I think as far as playoffs is very bleak".

"If you're still allowing distractions to affect the way you play, this is the wrong franchise to be a part of and you should just come in and be like, 'Listen, I can't do this, '" James said. The young point guard has missed more than a dozen games since January after he suffered an ankle sprain.

Conley converted 3 of 4 free throws down the stretch, and one Laker possession ended with an offensive foul on James. Just come and do your job. That selection hasn't been handed over to the Celtics yet because of those protections: If it's anywhere in the top eight this year, the Grizzlies keep it.

Frankly, James hasn't even been playing with the full level of effort we're used to seeing from him, like this particular display on defense (notice how he blamed his teammates?). That's what you want.

At 29-31, the Lakers sit in the 11th spot in the Western Conference standings. That's what you want every game. But he's also been lambasted for seemingly giving up on the Lakers.
