Michael Jordan Congratulates LeBron For Passing Him On All-Time List

The Los Angeles Lakers forward rose to fourth in the list after scoring on a lay-up with 5:38 to play in their game against the Denver Nuggets.

A tribute video played, and fans who did not have reason to cheer for LeBron James for the first 31,000 points of his career rose in a standing ovation. James has said he grew up in Akron admiring Jordan as "the best ever" while he led Chicago to six championships in eight years during the 1990s. James acknowledged that Walton has definitely been trying to lead the Lakers, despite the disappointing season. He made us look like really good coaches in Cleveland.

"I want to congratulate LeBron on achieving another great milestone during his fantastic career", Jordan said in a statement. Ingram missed his second straight game with a shoulder injury, and Kuzma joined him after spraining his ankle Monday. Over the course of his career, Anthony has averaged 24.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.

He reportedly spoke with team president Magic Johnson and general manager Rob Pelinka about the incident after the game. The Lakers (30-34) have faded ever since James was injured, going 10-20 and falling to the fringe of the playoff race even after his return.

James was asked if the Lakers' loss dampened his accomplishment.

Rajon Rondo decided during Wednesday night's Los Angels Lakers loss to the Denver Nuggets that he didn't want to sit with his teammates on the bench, perhaps a sign that he and the rest of the team have given up on this frustrating season.
