R Kelly arrested for non-payment of child support

"Our parents are basically out here to get money", Savage told King.

In a portion of the interview that aired Wednesday, Kelly alleged the young women's parents arranged for him to meet their daughters, sought money from him and threatened to ruin his career.

"Sometime last month we received information from the Chicago Police Department of a possible victim that was allegedly sexually assaulted by R. Kelly sometime I believe in 2001", said Detroit Police Chief James Craig.

There have been cases in which people who spoke up pointed to evidence that ultimately helped win their freedom, but "historically it's a bad idea", Birkett said. If my ex-wife is destroying my name and I can't work.

Kelly's court hearing for his sexual abuse case is set for March 22.

She also said her parents had threatened to leak naked photos of her unless Kelly sent them tens of thousands of dollars.

Clary went on to reveal that it was her parents who encouraged to take photos with R.Kelly when she was 17 so as to extort money from him, a statement that was backed up by Joycelyn. "And we never "sold" our daughter to him or anyone else".

Kelly now faces ten counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse; he was released on bail, but was re-arrested, this time for failing to pay the $161,000 he allegedly owes in child support. She went on to say that Kelly would "cough, very loudly" during the interview and that that the women were "certainly aware that he was there". "I'm not, I'm your child". He claimed that "people have been stealing my money" after it emerged he was unable to pay $100,000 in bail money.

In short, they denied the allegations made against them. Kelly sat down with Gayle King to address the fallout from the allegations posed in Surviving R. Kelly. He cried as he hit his hands together, saying, "I'm fighting for my (expletive) life". "This not me", he said.

Watch Clary and Savage's interview with King in the clip above. The parents have denied the accusations. "I immediately turned off the TV because, again, I felt like I was revisiting him yelling at me". "I make mistakes, but I'm not a devil, and by no means am I a monster". "Didn't know what the hell was going on", Kelly continued.

Becoming emotional, he asked CBS news reporter Gayle King: "How stupid would it be for R Kelly, with all I've been through to hold somebody?"

Kelly's comments were broadcast less than a day after he was at the Daley Center for a closed-door hearing on the delinquent child support he owes his ex-wife.

"At no point did this family sell their daughter to anyone or provide their daughter for anything for money", attorney Gerald Griggs said Wednesday during a news conference.

According to the interviewer, R. Kelly repeatedly tried to shut down the interview.

Edwards also said that Kelly was "acting" during his interview, at least "in part". "I'm just being honest".
