Trump Speaks to Largest Conservative Conference Crowd in History

Mr Mueller has not yet brought any public charges alleging a criminal conspiracy between the campaign and Russian Federation, and the investigation continues.

On Saturday, President Donald Trump, while speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference near Washington, D.C., invited Williams on stage and said that Williams "took a hard punch in the face for all of us".

There are now six committees investigating President Trump for alleged collusion with Russian Federation in the 2016 election, his tax returns, and possible conflicts of interests in his business dealings.

Trump told the CPAC crowd, meeting at National Harbor, Md., that he planned to sign the order "very soon", but did not provide specifics or say whether a draft has already been prepared.

Mr Trump has frequently called the special counsel's investigation a "witch hunt".

This all comes after Trump's former personal attorney Michael Cohen's blistering testimony before Congress last week.

Newly empowered House Democrats are flexing their strength with blossoming investigations.

On the foreign front, Trump repeated his claim that the last Islamic State group fighters in Syria would be captured or killed imminently - "as of tomorrow" - after on Thursday telling USA troops "we just took over" 100 percent of the caliphate.

Nadler, like Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has been reticent about pushing for the president's impeachment, and told ABC such action would be "a long way down the road".

DONALD TRUMP rallied conservatives with a two-hour speech, claiming that Democrats wanted to create a "socialist nightmare" and accusing special counsel Robert Mueller of being out to get him.

The investigation appears to also be focused on Trump's business dealings, possible collusion with Russian Federation, and obstruction of justice allegations.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy ( R-CA) insists Nadler's sights have always been set on impeachment.

"I have said that I think we should await the evidence from Bob Mueller as well as our own work", Schiff said.

Trump also touched on various other topics, from Robert Mueller's investigation to America's recent economic successes, the border wall situation, and trade negotiations with China.

"Listen to exactly what he said".

"I said, 'Melania, I'm doing something today, I'm doing it because it really has to be done. he's a bad, bad guy", Trump said, arguing that he thought Democrats would welcome the move given their anger at Comey's handling of the Clinton email investigation.

Mr Nadler said his committee will seek to review the Mueller report but stressed the investigation "goes far beyond collusion".

House Intelligence Committee member Devin Nunes, R-Calif., said Monday Michael Cohen is being used by those who oppose the president. [He] refers to a good friend of his in NY, a "stone-cold killer", then says the man is "not even a good friend of mine" because he'd turn on him quickly, but he's "very rich". Before you impeach somebody you have to persuade the American public that it ought to happen.

Addressing a key focus of the federal and congressional investigations into Russian meddling, Cohen said he did not have "direct evidence" of collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow.
